I used black card to cover the background so that the iconic red box overlaid with white text stood out, mirroring the typical art style of Barbara Kruger. The replica pieces of marijuana were created with cotton balls rolled up and covered with a range of different shades of green paint and glued onto a pull tab made from card which sat in the center of the box. This pull tab was to allow room underneath for me to add a cut out of the famous WW1 'Uncle Sam' Poster with the face of Snoop Dogg, a well-known advocate for cannabis, edited onto it.
